Spanish Literacy

The Survival Literacy program was designed to equip participants with the essential skills needed to interpret everyday information, whether in text messages, books, emails, or community documents, while also preparing them for future ESOL coursework. Ultimately, the program aims to empower adults to pursue higher education opportunities such as the GED or college, leading to improved employment prospects, greater socioeconomic stability, and enhanced mental well-being. To ensure a holistic approach, the program integrates multiple components: Specialized writing and reading instruction, a foundational math curriculum, and a social and mental health component. Together, these elements address the academic, emotional, and social needs of participants.
