Our Students

IMG_0033The ESOL Program at GPA promotes adult literacy, connects adults to the workforce and community resources, and empowers adults to advocate for themselves and their family.

The majority of our students are Allston/Brighton residents.  We also serve students from surrounding areas.

Some of our students have had no prior formal education, while others have advanced degrees from their homeland.

A placement assessment test is administered to prospective students to evaluate their level of speaking, listening, reading, and writing English.

There is no age limit to become a GPA ESOL student. Below is a graph representing the various ages of the students in the Gardner Adult Education Program.

Students at Gardner Adult Education Program come from diverse backgrounds. Students hail from 14 countries spanning 4 continents across the globe. The diversity in the classroom gives students the ability to learn English from a variety of perspectives.

Our students learn and develop skills which they can use at home and at work. Below, the data shows that our students also enjoy coming back to learn more year after year.
