Survival Literacy

The Survival Literacy level addresses all language models including speaking, listening, reading, and writing. The primary emphasis for this class is learning basic knowledge such as letters, colors, time, basic conversation, money and finance. Students will explore different topics which come up in day to day survival.

In-class activities include writing practice, conversational English, telling time, reviewing colors, holidays, and weather. Students learn the alphabet, days of the week, numbers, basic vocabulary, and greetings and introductions. Students also focus on pronunciation basics, including initial and final consonants and the different vowel sounds.
